How topevents.at works

Events all over Austria, top events and events on TV – a short overview of what the site can do.

Find

  • Under “Events” you find everything that is on, month by month – by group (entertainment, leisure & sport, music, seasonal & traditions), category and federal state, optionally free entry only. Go to events →
  • The search on the home page finds events, articles and TV programmes. Click a #tag (e.g. #Vienna, #OpenAir) to see everything about it. Go to search →
  • On the road? “Near me” (the target icon next to the menu) shows events in the next 60 days near you – using your location or a town you enter. Near me →
  • Events can be subscribed to as a calendar (iCal) – even a single category, e.g. all concerts. Calendar →

Save and plan a route

  • Every event and article has a “Save” bookmark. Empty = not saved, filled = on your saved list.
  • The saved list shows everything on a map – your trip map: change the order, choose “Shortest order” and open the route in Google Maps for navigation. Go to saved list →
  • The saved list with map is available as a PDF to print or by email – ideal to take along or pass on.
  • “Recently viewed” remembers what you looked at. Both stay in your browser only – no sign-in, no cookie. Recently viewed →

Tickets

  • For many concerts, plays, balls and sports events the “Buy tickets” button leads straight to ticket sales. If a ticket partner is named, we receive a small commission for purchases via this link – your price stays the same.

Take part

  • An event is missing or a detail is out of date? Write to us – we are happy to add and correct. Report an event →
  • You organise events regularly? Soon you will be able to add your events yourself with your own access – just ask via the contact form. Request access →
  • With the newsletter you get the top events and news by email; the monthly magazine sums up the highlights. Subscribe to the newsletter →

Read and discover

  • “Top events” presents the highlights of the coming weeks – with reports and news. Go to top events →
  • “Events on TV” lists concerts, operas, shows and sports broadcasts for the next two weeks. Events on TV →

Adjust the display

  • At the very top you choose language (German/English), font size (75 / 100 / 125 %) and dark mode. Lists can be shown as tiles, list or compact rows.
